Joe : Most charcters got bigger, but Joe lost a few pounds - his sprite is still really crisp and cool and matches his fighting style. ![]() It feels like they thought of her in the art direction, like with Ash. Kula : Excellent transition from SD to HD. have an extra attention to shading and detail - and of course we don't have another one to compare. Hwa Jai : The characters made for the game, like him. Karate stance fixes that "issue" and tells a lot about the character.Īsh / Saiki : It feels like this art direction was made for him, which makes sense. His stance may not be realistic, but it's so fun to look at. I take Chubby Takuma all day over the Henry Rollins of the past. Karate / Takuma : Hot take, but I love this design. KoF XIII is my favorite in the series, but I observed recently a lot of people disliking the character designs (even though we agree that the sprite execution is god-tier).
